Dakos Cretan meze
Dakos - Ntakos a delicious traditional veggie dish from Crete, perfect for a light dinner!
Ingredients
Delicious Cretan meze dakos consisting of
Barley rusk
chopped tomatoes
crumbled feta or myzithra cheese
extra virgin olive oil
dry oregano
capers
Preparation
You first need to soak in water the barley rusk (count to 10 in the water to make it soft, not more)
place the rusk on a plate and add on top some extra virgin olive oil
top with chopped tomatoes
crumbled feta or myzithra cheese
pour some more olive oil on top
season with dry oregano, capers
Enjoy with ouzo or a glass of greek wine!
